He has recently been causing quite a stir in the UFC lightweight devision and as of the 23rd of July 2022 he holds a record of 19 wins and 3 losses (19-3-0). The 27 year old, Merseyside born fighter has had a quick rise to fame and has become household name in Liverpool. Outside Liverpool he has grabbed the attention of the media and fans with his funny and down to earth personality that comes across when he speaks in interviews and post fight speeches.
Early Career
After watching UFC 103 a young Paddy decided he wanted to start training MMA. At 15 years old he would walk in Paul Rimmers Next Generation gym and begun training 4 times a week. Paddy made his professional debut in 2012 aged 17 fighting on OMMAC 15 against Nathan Thomas. After continuing his win streak and obtaining a record of 3- 0 he signed with UK fighting organisation Cage Warriors the following year.
Paddy made his debut at CW 56 (Cage Warriors) against Florian Clarin in which he won by unanimous decision. He went on to lose his next fight against jujitsu fighter Cameron Else via a first round submission.
Following his loss he went on an incredible seven fight winning streak and was rewarded with a shot at the Cage Warriors Featherweight Title. He fought Johnny Frachey at the Echo Arena in Liverpool and won by TKO in the first round.
On April 1st 2017 he lost the Title to mixed martial artist Nad Narimani by unanimous decision.
UFC Career
Paddy changed his weight class after his loss against Nad Narimani and moved to the Lightweight division.
On September 4 2021 Paddy made his UFC debut agaisnt Luigi Vendramini when his fought on the card for UFCFight Night 191. He knocked out his opponent in the first round after predicting he would do so in an interview prior.
This earned Paddy earned a bonus for performance of the night and rightly so! Whilst fighting for the UFC he continued to train with Next Generation Gym remaining close to his
Shortly after this Paddy signed a $1,000,000. endorsement deal with Barstool sports and went onto fight Rodrigo Vargas on March 19th 2022 at UFC Fight Night 204. Pimblett won the fight by submission in the first round wining him another performance of the night award.
Not satisfied with his 2 - 0 record Paddy the Baddy went onto choke out opponent Jordan Leavitt with a rear naked choke hold on the second round. unsirporismgly it won him another performance of the night bringing his record to 3-0.
